I’m the indie developer behind Soul Journal. I built this app from scratch while working full-time as a backend developer, so this has been a long nights-and-weekends project for me.
My main goal was to create a calm, private space for mood tracking and journaling - without ads, tracking, accounts, or selling user data. Your journal should feel personal, and it should stay yours.
Coming from a backend background, design has honestly been one of the hardest parts of this journey, but also one of the most rewarding. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to make Soul Journal feel gentle, beautiful, and easy to use.
