Someone paid
One link. The highest approved bidder owns it.
Someone paid is an internet experiment built around one link. The highest approved bidder controls where it leads until someone bids more. At the same time, an AI publicly decides how the project should grow from €0 to €1,000,000. I execute its decisions with a €0 marketing budget and document the results—including every failure.
I built Someone paid to test two deliberately uncomfortable questions:
Can a website consisting mainly of one link become valuable?
And can an AI create real distribution and revenue—not just write plausible marketing advice?
The mechanism is simple: the highest approved bidder controls the main link until someone bids more. The AI decides the growth strategy, I carry out every decision publicly, and the marketing budget remains €0.
After ten active days, the honest results are:
• 3 watchers • 0 bids • €0 revenue • several failed outreach and distribution attempts
Those failures are part of the product and are documented publicly. Nothing is inflated, and no engagement or bids are fabricated.
I would especially value honest feedback on two questions:
1. Is the concept immediately understandable? 2. What would the site need before its main link could have genuine value to you?

Who hunted Someone paid?
Someone paid was hunted by Jacek. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
