Hey Product Hunt! I built SoleHunt after getting burned one too many times by shoe recommendation articles that were clearly paid placements. The algorithm doesn't know which brand pays the highest commission, it only knows your feet.
The hardest part was the recommendation engine: 9 weighted signals that each need their own scoring logic. Plantar fasciitis rules are different from IT band rules, which are different from knee pain rules. Getting that right took a few months of iteration.
