Hey Product Hunt! 👋 What inspired this: We have a table tennis table at our office. For the first few weeks, someone kept a WhatsApp thread going — "who won yesterday?", "what's the current standings?", "wait, did that match count?" — and eventually a shared Google Sheet appeared. It lasted about ten days before it was hopelessly out of date. I looked for an app to fix this. Everything I found was either built for professional tournaments (way too complex), generic score counters with no leaderboard, or just a notes app with a sports skin. Nothing was built for the casual-but-competitive small group that just wants to know who's on top after Friday's matches. The problem I'm solving: Every office sports group faces the same three frictions: - No easy way to log a result - No live standings anyone trusts - No stats beyond "I think I'm probably winning overall" Smoosh fixes all three — log a match in under 10 seconds, get a Bayesian-adjusted leaderboard that updates instantly, and unlock head-to-head records, form trends, rivalry badges, and more. How my approach evolved: I started thinking this was purely a "log scores fast" problem. Build a clean score entry screen, show a leaderboard, done. But the more I used it with real groups, the more I realised the banter layer was just as important as the data layer. People don't just want to know the standings — they want to know who their nemesis is, whether they're clutch under pressure, and whether their win rate is trending up or collapsing. So v1 shipped the basics. Then I layered in: - H2H matrices - Form tracking - Win-rate trend charts Then came deeper stats: - Clutch win rates (games decided by ≤2 points) - Scoring efficiency bars - Nemesis & bully cards - Side performance analytics (for groups tracking table/court sides) Each feature came directly from a real conversation with a user asking "can you show me X?" The other thing that evolved: I built it as a PWA first, then wrapped it in Capacitor for a native iOS feel. The goal was to make it feel like a real app — not a website — because nobody is going to open a browser mid-match to log a score. It’s free to get started. Would love to hear what features matter most to your group — happy to answer anything below! 🏓
