As a developer, I’ve always relied on web-based utilities for quick tasks. But lately, every PDF tool out there has become incredibly frustrating—hidden paywalls, limits on file sizes, or demanding a signup just to download a single file. Even worse, many tools compromise data privacy by uploading confidential documents to their remote servers.
I wanted to solve this permanently, so I built SmartToolsHub.
My goal was to create a toolkit that is 100% free, completely anonymous, and fully secure. By leveraging React (Vite) and client-side performance optimizations, tools like Merge, Split, Compress, and Image to PDF process everything locally right inside your browser. Your data never touches a server. For server-dependent workflows like PDF to Word, files are instantly wiped from our backend the exact millisecond your download finishes.
