Hey everyone,
I tried a bunch of the AI clip tools out there before building this, and I kept running into the same problem. The clips they picked just weren't good. They'd cut someone off mid-sentence, grab a random moment with no context, or pick the boring part of a story and skip the payoff. I ended up re-editing almost everything anyway, which kind of defeated the point.
So I built SmartClips to focus on picking moments that actually make sense on their own and hold attention. You upload a podcast, stream or long video, and it finds the best parts, adds captions and gets them ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. It also has split screen and an AI story generator.
It's still early and I know it's not perfect yet, so I'm really just here for feedback. Did the clips it picked feel better than what you've gotten from other tools? What was confusing? What would make you actually use it every week?
