Smart Runner builds an adaptive 5K-to-marathon plan from one race result and rebuilds it after every run. Paces come from your VDOT, load tracking is the usual ATL/CTL/TSB, and workouts follow Pfitzinger, Daniels and Canova. Native Apple Watch app with live pace and HR zones. Two things make it different: it's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it runs entirely on-device. No account, no server, nothing leaves your phone. 14-day free trial.
Hi PH. I built Smart Runner because every good running app had turned into a subscription that holds your training history hostage, and most ship your data to a server you don't control.
This is the opposite. You pay once, it runs entirely on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and there's no account anywhere. The plan adapts after every run using VDOT paces and ATL/CTL/TSB load, with methodology drawn from Pfitzinger, Daniels and Canova. The Watch app plays the workout back with live pace and HR zones.
It's iPhone and Apple Watch only, and it tops out at the marathon for now. I'm solo on this and genuinely after feedback, especially on the Watch side and the adaptive plan logic. Ask me anything, the training math included.
