I'm the maker of Smart Autoscroll Pro.
The problem: I read a lot of long articles and docs, and every autoscroller I tried made me set speed in "pixels per second." I'd spend the first minute of every article doing math instead of reading — too fast on dense pages, too slow on sparse ones.
The idea that changed everything: humans don't read in pixels, we read in words per minute. So I built the first autoscroller where you just set your WPM (say, 250) and the page scrolls at exactly your reading pace — on any website.
How it evolved while building:
- I kept getting interrupted mid-read, so I added auto-pause — it stops the moment you move your mouse, scroll, or type
- I kept scrolling past embedded videos, so it now detects videos and pauses automatically
- Different sites need different speeds, so it remembers your speed per website
- Added a floating mini-player with a live "time remaining" countdown, so you know exactly when you'll finish
It's 100% free, open source, under 25 KB, makes zero network requests, and collects zero data. Works offline, available in 5 languages, with full keyboard shortcuts.
