I'm a project manager, and my problem was simple: I never found a tool that gave me a plan I could actually show people. MS Project always made it hard for me to keep an overview, and the Gantt views in Jira and Polarion were too cluttered to present to anyone. But that's my daily job: showing plans to customers and suppliers. On top of that, my suppliers reported their schedules to me as Excel Gantt charts, which I then had to rebuild by hand for my own reporting. Hours of redrawing bars every week, in PowerPoint with think-cell, and the dates were stale before the meeting even started. So I built SlideFlux: a Gantt planner where every view is designed to leave the tool as a finished slide (PowerPoint, PDF, Excel). Along the way it grew what real steering meetings demand: baselines with documented delay reasons, resource workload, and costs that update when the plan changes. Data stays local in your browser. And because I know most PMs can't get a big software budget approved, I want this to be an affordable alternative that anyone can just start using.
