We wanted to create a simple yet powerful tool that would pick up YouTube video URLs from us and generate *intelligently* crafted shorts along with slick looking captions.
So we did it!
Built this hacking through nights & weekends over the last 12 weeks.
Picking up interesting parts from the video was probably the most challenging problem here. Fine-tuning the definition of 'interesting' is super tricky in itself. There're more moving variables to it than just that. Best of the shorts give you a feeling of being caught in a loop (think how do you get retention above a 100%?!).
Would rather let the product do the talking!
