I built TheSliceUp because I couldn't find an app that handled both personal budgeting and group bill splitting well. Most apps do one or the other, so I wanted to combine them.
1. Budgeting shouldn't be boring. Tracking expenses usually feels like data entry, so I added AI comments — the app actually reacts to your spending instead of just recording it.
2. AI chat about your own money. You can just ask things like "What's my spending habit?" or "Why am I broke this month?" and get a real answer based on your actual transactions.
3. Splitting that doesn't feel like a chore. I wasn't happy with how clunky group splitting is in most apps, so I spent a lot of time reworking the UX to make it faster and clearer.
This is the first public release, and I'd genuinely love your feedback. 🙏
