SkyPort

The lightweight cloud OS for developers

SkyPort is a lightweight cloud OS built for developers managing self-hosted infrastructure and smaller VPS deployments. Instead of constantly juggling SSH sessions, Docker commands, deployments, logs, and multiple tools, SkyPort brings everything into one streamlined workspace with terminal access, file management, deployments, monitoring, Docker integrations, GitHub imports, and more. Built to run fast even on low-end servers.

Hey everyone 👋 I built SkyPort after getting frustrated managing apps on a tiny 1GB RAM VPS. Even though I’m comfortable with full-stack development and DevOps workflows, constantly SSH-ing into servers, handling deployments manually, juggling Docker commands, editing configs, managing logs, and bouncing between multiple tools still felt unnecessarily hectic. A lot of existing platforms were either: • Too expensive, • Too infrastructure-heavy, • Or consumed too many resources for smaller VPS setups. Tools like Coolify are great, but on lower-end servers they can feel pretty heavy. I wanted something faster, lighter, and more workflow-focused. So I started building SkyPort – a lightweight cloud OS for developers managing self-hosted infrastructure and smaller VPS deployments. It combines things like: • terminal access • deployments with PM2 • Docker & Docker Hub integrations • GitHub imports (PAT/App based) • file explorer + built-in document/file viewers • code editor • logs & monitoring • networking + domain management • team management • app marketplace The goal wasn’t to abstract infrastructure away completely, but to make managing it dramatically smoother without losing control. Would genuinely love feedback, criticism, or ideas from the Product Hunt community 🙌
