SkillKeeper
Track your whole AI setup, from the menu bar
SkillKeeper shows which skills, agents, tools, MCP servers, commands, memory, hooks and plugins actually ran on your Mac, how many tokens each one spent, and what needs attention: loops, clashing triggers, skills that never fire. See how each skill is wired, catch what drifts from what you meant, and fine-tune it without opening a single file. Product Hunt visitors get 20% off with the code launch
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Kirill, a product designer who spends most of my day in Claude Code.
Why I built it My skills folder kept growing, and at some point I realized I couldn't tell whether a given skill ever fired – or what any of it cost. Nothing showed which skills get called, how often, or how many tokens they take. So I built SkillKeeper to find out.
What it is A menu bar app that reads your local sessions and breaks usage down by everything your setup loads – skills, agents, tools, MCP servers, commands, memory files, hooks and plugins – by 5 hours, day, week or month, with live token counts while a session runs. Agents show the skills they call inside, so you can see how your setup is actually wired.
What surprised me Once SkillKeeper started tracking hooks, I found one from a tool I'd tried once and forgotten about. It fired on every step and held up my work for 42 minutes over three weeks. Then the tokens: 94% of them went to work where none of my skills were involved – even though my skills are where the best of my instructions live. I wasn't using my own setup the way I thought I was, and nothing showed it. SkillKeeper puts all of it on one screen.
Privacy Everything is read from local files on your Mac and never uploaded. The app sends anonymous usage events – which views get opened, how many skills were found – never skill names, prompts or file contents.
Pricing Tracking is free. Editing is free to try, and a one-time $19 license keeps it unlocked. Product Hunt visitors get 20% off with the code launch: buy.skillkeeper.app/?offer_code=launch
What's next – Other AI tools – Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI – Beyond call counts: whether a skill actually did its job – A health score for your whole setup

Who hunted SkillKeeper?
SkillKeeper was hunted by Kirill Bush. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
