Sisip began with a simple personal problem: language learning kept losing the competition for attention. Classes and apps helped, but when work became busy, opening another lesson was easy to postpone—even while spending hours reading online.
We wondered: what if the web itself could become the practice environment?
Sisip gently weaves the language you’re learning into webpages you already choose to read. You control two things independently:
• Language level — from approachable vocabulary to phrases, sentences and natural text
• Immersion — from an occasional learning item to nearly the entire readable page
Translated items stay interactive: click one to see its original meaning, hear it spoken, or mark it as known. Automatic mode carries your preferences across tabs and browsing sessions, while one click restores the original page.
Privacy shaped the product from the beginning. Sisip has no account, advertising or analytics. Eligible webpage text is handled through its included local curriculum or Chrome’s on-device translation capabilities; Sisip does not send page text to an external translation service.
This is our first public beta, and we’d especially value feedback on:
