sip-exporter
Prometheus-native SIP and RTP monitoring with eBPF
Open-source eBPF sensor that turns IPv4/UDP SIP and correlated RTP/RTCP visible on a privileged Linux host into ~115 Prometheus metrics and an 11-section Grafana dashboard. Stores no packets or audio; QoE covers only sensor-visible traffic
I built sip-exporter to make SIP and RTP operations observable through the existing Prometheus and Grafana stack.
It passively observes IPv4/UDP SIP signaling and SDP-correlated RTP/RTCP on a privileged Linux host. It exposes about 115 Prometheus metrics and includes an 11-section Grafana dashboard covering signaling health, registrations, traffic, media quality, and system health.
The project is open source under AGPL-3.0. I’d especially appreciate feedback on missing operational metrics, dashboard gaps, and deployment scenarios.

Who hunted sip-exporter?
sip-exporter was hunted by Aleksey Budaev. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
