Singdu
Learn languages through the songs you love
Many language apps teach through fixed courses, isolated vocabulary, and generic exercises. Singdu starts with songs people already want to hear. Each song becomes an interactive lesson with synced lyrics, line-by-line translations, tappable words, and lyric quests. It currently supports seven languages, with more coming. Learners can choose songs by difficulty, build XP and streaks, learn with friends, and control a big-screen KTV experience from their phone.

Hey Product Hunt, Edward here, founder of Singdu. I’m learning Chinese and hope to pursue a graduate program in China. The motivation is real, but HSK books, beginner videos, flashcards, and even gamified apps felt too dry or generic for me to stick with. Meanwhile, I could listen to Chinese songs for hours (especially Jay Chou), even when I barely understood the lyrics. Not exactly beginner mode, I know. Once I started understanding each line, the songs hit differently, and my vocabulary grew naturally. Songs make surprisingly complete lessons. You get listening practice, words in context, memorable example sentences, repetition, and melodies that turn vocabulary into earworms. That inspired Singdu. It turns songs into interactive language lessons and tracks the words you encounter, without making you maintain vocabulary lists or flashcard decks manually (and it has plenty more features!). Songs are only the beginning. Videos, Shorts, Reels, newsletters, and more are next. I would love to hear what you think 🗿✌🏻
