I built Simple Retro because team retros are one of those rituals that should be easy to run, but often become more process than progress.
I wanted something lightweight enough for an engineering manager or team lead to spin up before a meeting, but still structured enough to make the retro useful: anonymous feedback, grouping, voting, and action items.
A few things I cared about while building it:
- No heavy setup
- Clean, simple UX that just works
- Participants can join free
- Straightforward pricing for teams that just want to run better retros
It is meant for engineering managers, tech leads, and small teams who want retros to stay useful without creating a bunch of extra admin work.
