Hello Product Hunt! 👋
I’m thrilled to share my first release and join the ranks of product launchers!
To quickly address some of the most common questions:
"Does it work on..."
- YouTube? Yup.
- Amazon? Yup.
- Google Search? Yup.
- Product Hunt? Yup.
- Your website? Yup. 👀
Sidenote was born from my own frustrations with the current state of community conversation online. I was tired of needing separate accounts for every site I wanted to comment or live chat on—be it blogs, Q&As, shopping sites, social media, or entertainment. A large number of pages don't have support for either.
Along with this, I find myself immediately going to the comments when I read something that I find interesting or don't understand. When there isn't a place for comments, I'm left sifting through search results and forums trying to find someone who has had the same issue before.
Now we can all leave those days behind. Sidenote provides both a community comment section and live chat completely free of charge.
I am going to be hanging out in the live chat on this page for the day, drop in and say hello!

Who hunted Sidenote?
Sidenote was hunted by Dallin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
