Sidemark
Comment and leave notes directly on any webpage.
Sidemark lets you read and leave comments on any website — news articles, YouTube videos, product pages, blog posts, and more. Comments are shared across all users, so when you visit a URL, you see what others have written — and they'll see yours. Share your thoughts on a specific Netflix scene, leave notes on a blog post, or collaborate on a project. It turns the entire web into an interactive comment section.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm thrilled to launch Sidemark today!
The Inspiration & Problem:
Have you ever read a blog post, looked at technical documentation, or even watched a scene on Netflix and immediately wanted to leave a comment exactly on that spot? I realized that existing web annotation tools were mostly built just for developer QA. They were clunky, restrictive, and didn't work universally. I wanted something fast, clean, and truly universal for everyday browsing.
How the approach evolved:
My goal was to build a tool that turns the entire internet into your personal comment section. I focused heavily on keeping the UI transparent and minimal so it works seamlessly on literally any webpage without getting in your way.
Here is what you can do:
🌐 Annotate ANY Website: Leave your thoughts directly on news articles, Wikipedia pages, personal blogs, or documentation.
🍿 Even Media Sites: Yes, it perfectly works on platforms like Netflix or YouTube to react to specific moments!
💼 Boost Productivity: Use it to leave quick, contextual visual feedback on live websites for your team or clients.
Sidemark is completely free. I would absolutely love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or answer any questions you might have!
Let me know what you think. Thanks! 🚀

Who hunted Sidemark?
Sidemark was hunted by Ali Kural. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
