Sidebar Buddy
A folder sidebar for Windows Explorer
Sidebar Buddy adds a sidebar beside Windows Explorer for the folders you actually use. Nest bookmarks, group them under collapsible headers and color-code them, so a long list stays readable. Drag a folder in to bookmark it, or drag files onto a bookmark to copy or move them there. 12 skins, auto-hide, docks left or right, 9 languages. Removing a bookmark never touches your files. 15-day free trial, then $14.99 one-time, no subscription.

Hi everyone, I'm Dante, the developer of Sidebar Buddy. It puts a sidebar next to Windows Explorer that holds only the folders you choose: nested, grouped and color-coded. It follows the Explorer window as you move it. Version 1.3.1 adds dragging a folder in to bookmark it, plus mouse-wheel scrolling. After a 15-day free trial it's $14.99 one-time, no subscription, and it's also on the Microsoft Store. I'd love to hear what's missing from how you organize your folders.

Who hunted Sidebar Buddy?
Sidebar Buddy was hunted by Dante Rinaldi. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
