ShortsSmith
Turn one idea into a finished, captioned AI short
ShortsSmith turns a single idea into a finished vertical short — it writes the script, records an AI voiceover, generates original visuals for your topic, and burns in word-level captions. Download-ready 1080x1920 for YouTube Shorts, TikTok & Reels. No subscription — credits that never expire.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Nikhil, the maker.
I kept seeing “AI video” tools that either spat out generic stock clips everyone else was using, or locked you into a monthly subscription before you’d made anything. So I built ShortsSmith.
You give it one idea. It writes a hook‑first script, records an AI voiceover, generates original visuals for your specific script (nothing is stock), and burns in the single‑word captions that short‑form lives on — then hands you a finished 1080×1920 MP4. No watermark, full commercial rights.
A few things I’m proud of:
• 25 visual styles — cinematic, anime, 3D, claymation… plus on‑camera character hosts that narrate with lip‑sync.
• No subscription. Credits in one‑off packs that never expire.
• Free creator tools (idea generator, posting‑cost calculator, best‑time planner) with no signup.
It’s early and I’d genuinely love your honest feedback — what would make you actually use it? 🙏
