Hey all,
This is a indie product I've been working on for some time in the background! It's a health tracking app that uses AI to help you better understand your health. I got sick of all the health apps for calorie tracking which didn't provide me with much in the way of insight, and made it extremely difficult to add calories or macros. I never knew what macros were in my food, and I was also avoiding certain foods - and found other solutions didn't flag when I accidentally scanned a barcode with something I was avoiding. Furthermore, the apps never really helped me with my real health goals, like gym 3 times a week, or take my supplements every day. I found myself thinking some days, "did I take vitamins today", but couldn't find a good solution to track that.
That's why I built Shipshape - it's an app which lets you add food in many different ways (photo, description, or even a full day summary). It also flags if you eat something you said you were avoiding. Not only that, but foods give you glycemic indices (how much they'll affect your blood sugar), fibre levels, nutritional scores, and processed scores - so you know how processed your food is. I'm in the process of adding vitamin summaries too, so you can get a feel for if you're chronically undertaking a certain vitamin. I've also added custom goals, so you can track calories, macros, weight, and anything else you want to as a custom goal. Custom goals can be set daily, every [x] days from 2 to 6 (e.g. every 5 days), weekly, or monthly.
I've also added a lot of fun extras not in other health apps, like the captain - an AI guide who tells you how you're doing and has general conversations about your health. To make this more interactive, there are achievements and unlockable characters based on things you do in the app.
The plan is to keep adding more metrics, and more insights, so people can get an even better view of their health. I'll be working a lot on this app to make it better, and hope you can get utility and enjoyment out of it too!
