I built Ship AI SaaS because I was exhausted by the setup fatigue of modern AI apps. I wanted to build vertical SaaS products, but every time I spun up a new Next.js app, I spent three weeks fighting with Drizzle ORM schemas, Supabase auth, and Stripe webhooks before writing a single LLM prompt.
The breaking point was trying to build a 'Manus-like' agent. Wiring up the Vercel AI SDK to stream real-time tool calls, syncing it with the React UI state, and pausing for human-in-the-loop approvals without the chat glitching out was an absolute nightmare.
So, I built the ultimate foundation to never have to do that again.
