I built ShieldRun because website security often feels more complicated than it needs to be. A website can change constantly — deployments happen, dependencies change, services become exposed, headers get modified — but security is often checked only occasionally. I wanted something that could continuously keep an eye on a website’s external security and make the results understandable. That became ShieldRun. It lets you scan your websites, detect security issues and changes, schedule recurring scans, receive alerts, and get actionable guidance on what needs attention. Building it meant solving much more than just the scanner itself. I worked through domain ownership verification, scan workers, scheduling, security reports and history, authenticated scanning, notifications, subscriptions, webhooks, and the infrastructure needed to run scans safely and reliably. One of my biggest goals was to keep the experience simple: add your website, verify ownership, scan, and understand the results. Scan. Detect. Protect.
