ShellOrbit
Webhook delivery that survives your handler going down
ShellOrbit receives your inbound webhooks, stores every payload before attempting delivery, and retries with backoff until your destination answers. When something breaks you get the raw request, every delivery attempt, and one click to replay it with the original bytes.eiving, durable storage, and retried delivery for developers running small production apps. Free for 15,000 events a month, paid plans from $15.
Every webhook integration I have built had the same bad day.
A provider says they sent it. Your logs say nothing arrived. Your handler was redeploying, or it 500'd on one malformed payload, and now the order is missing and there is no way to get it back. You cannot see what was sent, so you cannot tell whose fault it is.
ShellOrbit fixes the part that causes this: receipt and delivery are separate. A request is stored the moment it arrives, before any delivery is attempted. Your destination being down cannot lose data, because the data was already safe when your destination was asked.
What you get when it goes wrong: the raw headers and body exactly as sent, every delivery attempt with its status and timing, and a replay button that resends the original bytes.
Also in: retries with configurable backoff, fan-out to several destinations, signature verification on the way in and out, IP allowlisting, payload transformation, and your own ingest hostname.
Free plan is 15,000 events a month, no card. Paid plans bill overage by the thousand rather than cutting you off on the day your product gets attention.
Built it because I was tired of guessing. Happy to answer anything.
