I built ShapeSync because I was tired of weight-loss apps either requiring their own
ecosystem (buy our watch, use our scale) or just showing me a noisy chart with no real
insight into why my weight wasn't moving.
The Apple Watch calibration feature came out of my own frustration — I noticed my
Watch's calorie estimates never quite matched what my actual weight was doing, so I
built something that compares the two and corrects for it.
