Sentient is a small device that automatically launches your selected streaming app when your Roku TV powers on, letting you skip the home screen. Choose your app and schedule through the Sentient mobile app. No subscription required.
I built Sentient because I wanted my Roku TV to go directly to the app I actually wanted to watch instead of stopping at the home screen every time.
Sentient is a small device that connects to your Roku TV over Wi-Fi and automatically launches the streaming app you choose when the TV powers on. The companion mobile app lets you select the app and configure when Sentient should run.
This started as a simple idea and became a physical hardware + software product. I'm launching it here because I'd especially like feedback from people who enjoy experimenting with new hardware and smart-home technology.
