SeekMyDocs
Offline, privacy-first document search for Android
SeekMyDocs is an offline, privacy-first document search app for Android. It indexes files already on your device, then finds them by filename, keyword, OCR'd text, or on-device semantic search. Embeddings, OCR, and the vector index all run locally, and the app makes zero network requests, ever. Built with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Room, and ONNX Runtime. Free and open source under GPL-3.0.
Hey Product Hunt! I built SeekMyDocs because I was tired of digging through folders just to find one old PDF or scanned bill, and I did not want to upload my files anywhere just to search them. It is a fully offline Android app: filename, keyword, OCR, and on-device semantic search, with zero network requests, ever. Everything, embeddings, OCR, and the vector index, runs locally on the phone using ONNX Runtime. It is still an early alpha and fully open source under GPL-3.0, and I would love your feedback on what to build next!
