seatingplan.studio
From guest list to print-ready seating plan in minutes
Build a wedding or event seating plan in your browser. Drop in tables, import guests from Excel, Zola or The Knot, assign seats with groups, meals and notes, then export PDF, PNG or CSV or share a read-only link with your venue. Free up to 50 guests.
Hi Product Hunt! I built seatingplan.studio after my best friend's wedding taught me that seating 120 people is mostly diplomacy with a spreadsheet.
Uncle Charles can't sit near Aunt Simone. Aunt Simone can't sit near the DJ. Nobody can sit near the ex. And the caterer needs to know who ordered the fish, ideally before the fish arrives.
So here's what it does:
• Floor-plan editor: round, rectangular and head tables that snap, rotate and auto-arrange (unlike your guests)
• Guest import: drop in a CSV and it finds the name, group, meal and notes columns for you
• Seat assignment: groups, meals and notes on every seat, so "the vegetarian +1 with the nut allergy" stops being a mystery
• Export and share: PDF, PNG and CSV, plus read-only links for the venue, the caterer and the cousin who keeps asking where he's sitting
It runs in your browser: no download, no card. Free up to 50 guests; Couple is $8 once for your event; Pro is $13/month for planners and venues who do this every weekend (respect).
45 weddings have been planned with it so far.
PS: the nervous chair in the video is Chairlie. He's been practising his wave all week.
My question for you: what's the worst seating drama you've survived? Tell me the story and I'll try to build the feature that would have prevented it.
