Hey ProductHunt — Sushanth here, solo developer running a portfolio of mobile apps. I built ScribeAI because I kept watching students (and honestly, adults too) sit with a 90-minute lecture recording or a 60-page PDF and have no good path from "raw content" to "actually ready to be tested on this." Highlighters and re-reading are famously ineffective, but most tools either stop at transcription or only handle one type of input. The thing I'm most proud of technically is the unified pipeline: a YouTube video, a scanned textbook photo, a recorded phone call, a podcast RSS feed — they all hit the same processing flow and come out as the same structured outputs (notes, quizzes, flashcards, or an AI-narrated audio summary). Getting that to feel seamless across wildly different input formats without asking users to think about "which mode am I in" was genuinely hard. The anonymous-first decision was deliberate. Account walls at the top of a funnel are friction that costs real people real value. We let you go all the way through — paste a link, get your flashcards, study them — before we ask anything from you. That approach is a big part of why the app has grown entirely through word of mouth. The AI podcast output is the feature that surprises people most. You throw in a dense research paper and you get a conversational audio summary you can listen to during a commute. It's become weirdly useful for things I didn't originally design for — like busy professionals catching up on reports. Happy to talk about any of it: the multi-source design, the output formats, what I'd build next, anything. Ask away.

Who hunted ScribeAI?

ScribeAI was hunted by Sushanth Tiruvaipati. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
