I’m Roox, founder at Websell. Like many of you, my desktop used to be a graveyard of thousands of screenshots named Screenshot 2026-07-29 at 12.00.00.png.
Existing screenshot apps were either too basic or relied heavily on sending your private screens to cloud AI servers. So I built ScreenShelf—a local-first, zero-cloud desktop workspace that index every single pixel, OCRs your image text locally, and lets you query your library instantaneously.
Every feature was crafted for pure speed, glassmorphic minimalism, and total privacy:
Everything stays on your machine (indexed with SQLite + IndexedDB).
OCR text extraction runs entirely client-side.
