The idea came from something simple but frustrating: people constantly looking at my phone in public. Whether I was checking my bank balance, replying to WhatsApp messages, or viewing personal information, I realized how common shoulder surfing had become.
I couldn't find an Android app that simply warned me when someone was looking at my screen, so I built one.
ScreenSafe uses on-device AI face detection to detect unknown faces looking at your phone and instantly alerts you with a vibration. Everything runs locally on the device—no account, no cloud processing, and no camera data leaves your phone.
