ScreamCursor
A cursed Windows cursor that screams when you shake it.
ScreamCursor is a cursed Windows desktop app that screams when you shake your mouse. Build power, trigger ridiculous reactions, and unlock transformations. The core experience is free, with the $9.99 Ascended Warrior Bundle for extra chaos.
I built ScreamCursor because modern desktop software is painfully boring.
Everything seems to be a productivity tool, SaaS dashboard, or utility designed to help you work faster. I wanted to build something completely unnecessary instead.
ScreamCursor is a small Windows desktop app where your cursor reacts to how aggressively you move your mouse. Shake it hard enough and it screams. Keep pushing and you can build power and trigger ridiculous transformations.
I eventually went way too far and built the Ascended Warrior Bundle — a $9.99 expansion with multiple transformation paths and a microphone mode that lets you charge the power meter by screaming at your computer.
The core ScreamCursor experience is free, including the original entities. The $9.99 Ascended Warrior Bundle adds the extra chaos.
Privacy was important to me too. The microphone feature processes audio locally in real time; the audio isn't recorded, saved, or sent to a server. The project is also open source because I want people to be able to inspect what they're actually installing.
I built this mostly because I wanted to see how far I could take such a stupid idea.
I'd love to know: what would you add to a cursor that already screams?
