ScopeGuard Beta V0.2.1
Stop scope creep before it becomes unpaid work
ScopeGuard helps freelancers compare a client's new request against the original project scope before agreeing to extra work. Paste the agreed scope and the new request to identify likely scope creep, revisions, in-scope work, and conversational context. It also estimates additional work and helps draft a professional client response. This is an early free beta, and we're looking for real-world cases where ScopeGuard gets the decision wrong.
I built ScopeGuard around a simple freelancer problem: small client requests can quietly turn into unpaid work.
The difficult part isn't always doing the extra work — it's deciding whether a request was actually included in the original agreement and then explaining that decision professionally without damaging the client relationship.
ScopeGuard is an early attempt to make that decision clearer.
For this beta, I'm much more interested in finding its mistakes than collecting compliments. If you're a freelancer, I'd love you to test it with a realistic scope + client request and tell me:
Did ScopeGuard classify the request correctly?
If it didn't, please tell me what you think the correct decision should have been. That feedback will determine what we build next.
