Scope Bouncer

The bouncer to make you stay on mission

Scope Bouncer keeps AI coding agents from drifting off-mission. It reads your project’s SCOPE.md, checks prompts and risky tool calls, and asks “Which must-ship outcome does this unblock?” before one task turns into five projects. Works with Claude Code, Codex, and CLI workflows. Local-first, no account, no server.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt, I built Scope Bouncer because vibe coding makes it way too easy to drift, especially being non-technical. Scope Bouncer adds local guardrails for agentic coding CLIs. It reads your project’s SCOPE.md, checks prompts and risky tool calls, and asks: “Which must-ship outcome does this unblock?” It currently works with Claude Code, Codex, and manual CLI checks. No hosted dashboard, no account, no server. Would love feedback from people using AI coding agents: - Where does scope drift usually happen for you? - Would you prefer strict blocking or gentle warnings? - Which coding environment should I support next?
