Top comment

Hey everyone 👋 I'm a solo developer, and I built ScholarMind because I was tired of studying across ten different tabs. Notes in one app, flashcards in another, a PDF somewhere else, and a chatbot open in a fourth tab just to explain the part I didn't understand. None of it talked to each other, so I ended up being the one manually keeping it all in sync in my head. I'm self-taught, no CS background, and I built this using AI coding tools, mostly from my phone since I don't have a dev laptop set up. That constraint ended up shaping the whole thing more than I expected. It forced me to ship small, working pieces instead of trying to build everything at once, and I went through a lot of rounds of just finding and fixing real bugs across the stack as I went. The biggest shift in my thinking happened around the AI chat. I started out treating it as a normal chatbot bolted onto the app. Somewhere along the way I realized the actual useful version is one that already knows what you're looking at, so you can highlight a line and just ask about it instead of explaining your whole situation from scratch every time. That's the part I've put the most work into. Still very early and still just me building this, so I'd genuinely love to hear what's confusing, what's missing, or what you'd want it to do next. Thanks for checking it out!
