Saya
The AI peer student for classrooms, homes, and self-study
Saya is an AI peer student for live K–12 classrooms. Bloom-aware, spaced-repetition-powered, with three learning modes — Classroom, Home Companion, and Solo Tutor. Built to make students think harder.
I'm Waqas. From Pakistan. No VC. No hype. Just a problem I couldn't stop thinking about.
28 kids in a classroom. Teacher asks a question. Three hands go up. Same three as yesterday. The other 25 sat there — not stupid, not lazy. Just never asked.
I built Saya for those 25.
In the classroom, Saya sits as a peer student. She raises her hand at the moment no one else will. She asks the question the shy kid in the back was too afraid to ask. She says "wait, I don't understand — can we go back to that?" when everyone else is pretending they do. She connects today's lesson to something from three weeks ago that the class forgot they knew. She makes the teacher look like a genius — because suddenly the whole room is thinking, not just three people.
At home with parents, Saya sits at the table with your child. She doesn't replace you. She makes you more powerful. She asks your child to explain what they just learned — in their own words — while you watch understanding either appear or fall apart in real time. You finally know exactly where your child is stuck. Not "they're struggling with maths." Which concept. Which gap. Which question to ask tomorrow.
For the student studying alone, Saya never lets them get away with "I think I understand." She asks them to prove it. Explain it differently. Apply it to something new. A session doesn't end because the timer ran out. It ends because understanding is real. Then she schedules the next review — before they forget.
Three modes. One peer student. Every classroom, every home, every child.
This is not another AI tutor that gives answers faster.
Saya is the first AI that refuses to.
If you're a teacher — try it. Watch the quiet kids speak.
If you're a parent — try it. Watch your child explain instead of guess.
If you're a student — try it. Pass the exam you actually understand.

Who hunted Saya?
Saya was hunted by Waqas Ali Shah. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
