Sagius
Ancient philosophers, on call for your hardest days
Daily philosophy you can talk back to. Chat 1:1 with AI Socrates, Nietzsche, or Marcus Aurelius, get comfort grounded in philosophy on hard days, hire an AI mentor for ongoing guidance, and get plain-language quote explanations — in 5 languages. Free to try.
I'm Gabriel, the solo founder. Design, code and support are me. The models aren't: I use commercial LLMs. The work is the philosopher corpus, the prompting, the memory and the five languages.
Sagius started with my own hard days. I'm Brazilian. I built my life and my business from scratch in Germany, and on the difficult days I kept going back to the Stoics: Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus.
Quote apps gave me one beautiful sentence and nothing more. I wanted the back-and-forth: what would Marcus Aurelius actually say about my problem, today?
So that's what Sagius is:
A daily quote, with a plain-language AI explanation of what it really means
1:1 chats with AI Socrates, Nietzsche, Marcus Aurelius and others: an interpretation of how they thought, not a quote database
Comfort sessions for hard days. Philosophy, not platitudes. It isn't therapy and doesn't pretend to be: in real distress it points you to someone you trust or a local crisis line
AI mentors you can hire for ongoing guidance (they remember your journey)
EN, FR, PT-BR, DE and ES from day one
Free to try: 10 AI credits when you open it, no account, no email. After that it's your choice: pay-as-you-go credits from EUR 1.99, or a plan if you use it daily (from EUR 4.99/month, or yearly). You are never forced into a subscription to keep using it.
Both iOS and Android are live today. Built solo, so tell me what's broken and I'll fix it this week.
Two small things: it's my birthday today, and this is my first Product Hunt launch. If I'm doing it wrong, say so and I'll get it right next time :)
Which philosopher would you want in your pocket on a bad day, and why?

Who hunted Sagius?
Sagius was hunted by Gabriel Marchesan Almeida. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
