Safe

One tap to tell everyone you're okay

Safe is a one-tap check-in app. After an air raid, an attack, or anything that makes people worry, you open Safe and tap once — and all of the people you've chosen know you're okay. No group chats, no replying to fifteen "are you alive?" messages. Free, in Ukrainian and English.

Hi PH 👋 I'm Ewa, and I built Safe because while living in Kyiv, Ukraine, I got tired of typing "I'm still alive" five times after every attack. When there's a strike, everyone who loves you reaches out at once — and you end up reassuring everyone individually while you're still figuring out whether you're actually fine. Safe is the smallest possible fix: you add friends and family to your connections, and when something happens, you open the app and tap once. Everyone in your circle sees you're okay. That's the whole thing. It's free, it's on iOS and Android, and it works in Ukrainian and English. Built by a small team of Ukrainian friends, for people here and the diaspora who worry from far away. Would genuinely love feedback — especially on the invite flow, which is the part we're still wrestling with. Ask me anything.

Who hunted Safe?

Safe was hunted by Ewa Potorecka. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
