Hey PH - I'm Harry, I built Saasybill. I started this at 15 after my dad came to me with a problem: his SaaS billing had grown past what Xero could handle, but every billing platform they looked at would pull invoicing out of Xero entirely, charge a percentage of revenue, and leave them with a disjointed accounting setup. I spent a long time thinking about why billing tools work that way. The answer is that transaction fees are how they make money, and transaction fees require them to own the payment flow. Saasybill doesn't do that. Flat subscription, invoices live in Xero, nothing else changes. It's built for the gap between "Xero + spreadsheets" and "Chargebee."
