I built this because it happened to me.
I'd been paying for Super Duolingo for months without realising it. The renewal email was sitting in my inbox every month and I just never saw it. I checked my bank statement too, but a ₹560 line item in a list of 40 transactions doesn't exactly scream "you haven't opened this app in 8 months."
That's when I realised the problem isn't carelessness, it's that no tool was designed to catch this. Bank apps show you that money left. They don't tell you whether it was worth it. So I built one.
The core constraint I set for myself: nothing leaves your device. Every email is parsed locally in the browser. The extension never uploads your inbox, never stores email content, never phones home with your data. Just your Gmail, your device, your subscriptions.
It took a few months of evenings and weekends. The hardest part wasn't the parsing, it was handling every edge case across hundreds of different billing email formats. Vendors are surprisingly creative about how they word a receipt.
