RunRoutes
Pick a distance, get a running loop from your front door
Pick a distance, tap once, and RunRoutes draws a running loop that starts and ends at your own front door. No planning, no retracing your steps. Run it from your wrist: Apple Watch taps you before every turn and speaks the directions, while your iPhone shows the run on a full-screen map. Add run/walk intervals, follow the built-in Couch to 5K plan, or send any route as GPX to the app you already use. Two free routes every week, no card needed.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Tom, and I build RunRoutes on my own, in the evenings.
For two years I ran the same 4 km loop. On the mornings I wanted something different I usually stayed home, because planning a new route was one decision too many before work. That is the whole reason this app exists: the hardest part of a run is the part before you leave the house.
So RunRoutes removes that decision:
🗺️ Pick 5K, 10K or any distance, and it builds a loop that starts and ends where you stand
⌚ Your Apple Watch taps you before each turn and speaks the directions, so the phone can stay in your pocket (or at home)
🔁 Run/walk intervals ride along on any route, plus a 9 week Couch to 5K plan (it's how I got my partner running)
📤 Share any route as GPX to the watch or running app you already use
Making loops that are actually nice to run was the hard part: no dead ends, no running the same street twice, no weird figure eights. Every week I look at routes people rate badly and fix what made them bad.
You get two free routes every week, no card and no account needed. Pro unlocks unlimited routes, as a one time lifetime purchase or monthly.
I'd love to hear from you:
1. Generate a loop near you. Would you actually run it? What would make it better?
2. What stops you from trying a new route today?
I'll be here all day answering every comment. Thanks for checking it out 🙏

Who hunted RunRoutes?
RunRoutes was hunted by Tom van den Bogaart. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
