Top comment

👋 Hey Product Hunt! I'm really excited to finally share RunLock. Like a lot of people, I tried everything to reduce my screen time—deleting apps, Screen Time limits, app blockers, productivity apps... but I'd always end up opening Instagram or TikTok again. So I thought: What if screen time wasn't free? That's how RunLock was born. Instead of asking you to use more willpower, RunLock changes the rules: your distracting apps stay locked until you complete your walking or running goal. The idea is simple: 🏃 Move first. 📱 Scroll later. Building RunLock wasn't easy. We had to work with Android accessibility services, iOS Screen Time APIs, movement tracking, Health Connect, and design an experience that motivates people instead of making them feel punished. We're still improving the app every week, and this launch is just the beginning. I'd genuinely love your feedback: What feature would make this more useful for you? What would stop you from using an app like this? What would you change? Thanks for checking out RunLock ❤️
