Instead of you entering estimated costs, RUMBIO calculates your trip budget automatically: pick your route, vehicle and dates, and it instantly estimates real fuel, campsite/parking and food prices by country. On top of that, it splits group expenses in real time too. Installable as an app, no store needed. Interface is in Spanish. Free for up to 10 trips.

I've been traveling by van on and off for years, and every time I planned a trip, I ended up guessing what it would actually cost. Every expense app I tried made me enter estimated costs myself, country by country, fuel prices pulled from memory or a random Google search. None of them calculated it for me. So I built RUMBIO to do exactly that. You pick your route, vehicle and dates, and it estimates fuel, campsite/parking and food costs automatically, using real prices by country. It started as a simple calculator, but once I added trips with friends, expense splitting became just as important, since that's the other headache that always comes up on group trips. It's free for up to 10 trips, works as an installable web app (no store needed), and the interface is currently in Spanish. Honest question for this community: would you actually trust an app's automatic estimate over your own gut feeling when budgeting something like a trip? I built RUMBIO because I don't trust my own gut with numbers, but I know some people feel the opposite, like an app doing the math takes the fun (or the control) out of planning.
