RTSP Inspector
Diagnose broken RTSP camera streams with evidence
Local desktop diagnostics for IP camera and VMS failures: inspect RTSP control, SDP, RTP/RTCP timing, packet loss, transport choice, and codec clues, then export a handoff-ready report for support teams.
Hi Product Hunt, I built RTSP Inspector because RTSP debugging often turns into a pile of packet filters, VLC tests, and screenshots that still do not explain what failed.
RTSP Inspector is a local desktop workbench for camera and stream diagnostics. It focuses on the evidence chain: RTSP control, SDP declarations, RTP continuity, RTCP timing, and codec structure. The goal is not to replace VLC or Wireshark. The goal is to make a repeatable diagnostic report when a camera connects but does not play, freezes, sends inconsistent media, or produces timing symptoms.
There is a free trial, and the paid desktop workflow is a $19 lifetime license. I would especially like feedback from video engineers, IP camera support teams, and anyone who has had to explain RTSP failures to another team.
