Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm a hockey dad from Quebec. I built RinkLog because of something that bothered me for years in the stands. My kid would play a great game, win his battles, block shots, kill a penalty without giving up a chance and the scoresheet would say: 0 goals, 0 assists. Nothing. Meanwhile the kid who scored on a lucky bounce is the star of the car ride home. Most youth hockey players are not scorers. Defensemen, penalty killers, third liners, goalies the official stats are basically blind to everything they do well. So parents track it themselves, in a notebook or a spreadsheet, badly, and give up by December. RinkLog is what I wanted instead: one-tap tracking from the stands during the game, then heat maps, trend charts and a monthly AI report card that tells the kid what they're actually getting better at. The principle I kept coming back to while building it: progress, not pressure. This isn't a leaderboard for kids. It's a mirror for development. Every design decision came back to that. Three things I'd love feedback on: - The one-tap logging flow : you're watching a live game, you can't look down at your phone - Whether advanced metrics (Corsi, PDO, SCF%) are explained clearly enough for a parent who's never seen them? - The AI report card tone : I've spent more time on this than anything else ... It covers ice hockey, ball hockey and ringette, works offline (arena wifi is a myth), and it's fully bilingual English/French. Free plan to try it.
