Riffday
Your personal practice companion for musicians.
Riffday is an all-in-one practice companion for musicians — chromatic tuner, pro metronome, session timer, and a frictionless practice journal in one app. What's different: • 1-tap to start a session. No setup, no friction. • 3-field journal (good / improve / next). Blank saves are fine. • Heatmap & streaks make consistency visible. • 100% offline. No accounts. No servers. SQLite on-device — your data stays yours.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Sung Hwa, a frontend developer who's been playing guitar (badly) for years. The problem I kept hitting: my tuner, metronome, and practice notes all lived in different apps —
and the journal one always felt like homework. So I'd skip it. Then I'd forget what I worked on yesterday.
Riffday is the app I wished existed:
→ 1 tap to start a session. Tuner and metronome are tools, but the journal is the heart.
→ The journal is just 3 fields (what went well / what to improve / what's next) + a condition LED. Blank saves are fine. Zero pressure.
→ A heatmap + streak make consistency visible — the thing that actually got me practicing daily.
→ 100% offline. No accounts. No servers. SQLite on-device. Your practice belongs to you.
→ During tuning, metronome, or an active session — zero ads. Tools shouldn't interrupt practice.
Free with optional rewarded-ad unlocks (recording, weekly report sharing) and a one-time IAP to remove ads.
Currently Android only — iOS coming next. I'd love feedback from fellow players: what's missing from your practice routine?
— Sung Hwa
