Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Leonard, a finance master’s student at Esade. I learned Excel on Windows, where every command is a keyboard sequence: Alt H O I to fit a column, Alt H V V to paste values. Then I switched to a Mac and my fingers kept hitting Alt (Option), and nothing happened. Excel for Mac does have KeyTips (tap Option and the ribbon tabs get letters), but they stop halfway: once a menu opens, its items have no letters, so you’re back to the mouse. RibbonBridge fixes that. It’s a small Mac menu bar app that adds the missing letters to every Excel ribbon menu, using the same letters as Windows. Tap ⌥, type H O I, and the column fits, exactly as you learned it. What it does: ⌨️ Puts a letter on every menu item, with the Windows letter wherever there is one 🔁 Supports classic sequences too, like Alt E S for Paste Special 🇩🇪 Supports both English (Alt H …) and German (Alt R …) Windows shortcuts ↩️ Runs through Excel’s own menus, so ⌘Z works as usual 🔒 Only reacts right after an Option tap in Excel, and nothing you type is recorded or sent anywhere It’s built for people who live in Excel: finance, consulting, accounting, and anyone who moved from Windows to a Mac.
