RhythmReel
Makes your videos and Live Photos dance to music.
RhythmReel uses audio amplitude to control video playback position in real time. Load a clip, play audio, and the video moves with the beat. The result is a hypnotic, music-reactive video anyone can make in under a minute. Pick any clip or Live Photo from your camera roll, play music through your speakers, and hit record. Short clips, especially Live Photos, work particularly well.

Hi everyone, I'm excited to announce that I just published an iPhone app called RhythmReel. I’m a visual artist but this comes from my love of music. It’s a playful tool for viewing your Photo library through a musical lens. To use RhythmReel, you just pick any video or live photo in your photo library. play a song, and then the video will move in time with the music. The audio amplitude controls the playback position in real time, so when the music is loud your video jumps forward. When it’s quiet, it eases back. It's free to use and a one time $2.99 purchase removes the watermark and unlocks high-res export. I’ve been having a lot of fun using it these last several weeks and I can’t wait to see what others can do with it. Please leave any comments and feedback below, happy to answer any questions. Thanks for reading, Evan
