Remember when computers felt like places to explore? RewindOS is a nostalgic, interactive desktop inspired by the internet and pop culture of the '80s and '90s. Tune into retro TV channels, listen to mixtapes, flip through vintage magazines and catalogs, play classic games, or hang out in the Analog Club. It's not another productivity tool or social feed. It's a little place on the web to get lost in for a while. Free to explore. No account required.
I built RewindOS because I missed the feeling of getting lost in something on the internet.
I grew up with the internet being a place you could just explore. You'd open one thing, find something else, and suddenly a couple of hours were gone.
That's kind of what I wanted to bring back.
RewindOS is a little retro desktop with old TV, music, comics, magazines, games, and a Pager where people can leave messages.
It's a personal project I've been working on, and it's completely free to explore.
